The American School of Gas Measurement Technology (ASGMT) has never turned its back on change since its founding in 1966. Instead, it has consistently embraced progress and pursued new ways to strengthen our industry and support the development of our students. This year is no exception. After 25 years at our previous venue, ASGMT has proudly relocated to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. This move underscores our continued commitment to remaining at the forefront of industry evolution and delivering the highest‑quality experience for our students and the broader measurement community.

Gems of Knowledge

The Hummel Gems of Knowledge program is a highly respected initiative that pays tribute to the late Dee Hummel, a prominent figure in the measurement industry. As the former Board of Directors President for the ASGMT in 2018, Dee was a Senior Director of Measurement at Targa Resources in the Tulsa, Oklahoma office, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Midwest Measurement Society.

The program exemplifies Dee’s passion for sharing knowledge and fostering learning by providing ASGMT students with a fun and engaging platform to interact with industry exhibitors. The program aims to encourage the sharing of measurement expertise and experience while providing students with valuable insights and opportunities to win prizes.

Dee was a highly respected individual in the industry, and his commitment to his work, integrity, and leadership were highly regarded by his peers. His dedication to learning and sharing knowledge is reflected in the Hummel Gems of Knowledge program, which serves as a fitting tribute to his legacy.

The program not only honors Dee’s memory but also represents his contributions to the measurement industry and serves as a source of inspiration for future generations.
