This curriculum includes 13 lecture classes that would benefit field and plant measurement technicians, as well as operations personnel with measurement responsibilities. This special secession is suitable for all levels of experience. Topical areas to be covered include:
- Basic Units of Measure, Pressure, and Temperature
- Liquid Properties
- Liquid Sampling
- Densitometers & Pycnometers
- Turbine and Positive Displacement Flow Meters
- Ultra Sonic Flow Meters
- Coriolis Flow Meters
- Mass Measurement
- LACT Fundamentals
- Provers and Meter Proving
- Tank Gauging and Measurement
- Data Capture, Processing, and Retention
- Measurement Error and System Balancing
Class Description
Each student will receive a student guide containing all information presented during the training session. Proficiency testing will be offered after the conclusion of the secession. Those passing the proficiency test will receive a certificate of competition. Continuing Education Units may also be obtained for a nominal fee.
The class instructors will be industry experts, each with decades of experience. The group of instructors has also been heavily involved in development and maintenance of the various industry standards that pertain to natural gas measurement and will provide insight on those during the course of the classes.
