Steven R. Jones, Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer
For over 20 years, Steve Jones has been an entrepreneur, executive and investment banker, primarily focused on the midstream and downstream energy sectors.
Steve is Co-CEO and CFO of WaterBridge Resources, the leading pure-play water management company serving the US oil & gas industry. Since joining WaterBridge, Steve has been instrumental in executing more than 20 acquisitions and partnerships, and directed the build out of the corporate, legal and financial organization of the company. Steve also currently serves as a Director of Falcon Minerals Corporation (NASDAQ: FLMN), a publicly traded oil and gas minerals and royalties company.
In 2013, Steve founded and served as EVP and CFO at PennTex Midstream Partners, LLC and PennTex Midstream Partners, LP (NASDAQ: PTXP). In less than two years, the team at PTXP built an organization and constructed two greenfield midstream platforms, took PTXP public and successfully exited in a strategic sale to Energy Transfer Partners, LP (NYSE: ET).
Previously, Steve worked for 10 years as an investment banker, first as part of the Global Natural Resources Investment Banking team of Lehman Brothers and then as the leader of Midstream & Downstream Investment Banking efforts for Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. in Houston, Texas.
Before beginning his investment banking career, Steve served as a Director of Corporate Development with El Paso Corporation (“El Paso”). In this role, he supported much of El Paso’s corporate restructuring and divestiture activities from 1999 through 2004.
Steve earned a B.S. in Math & Economics from Tulane University in 1995.
